The Matterhorn
After two unusually rainy days, we crossed our fingers and made our way to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn. The mountaintop was obscured by clouds our entire journey from Zermatt to Gornergrat, but we had already decided on executing our Plan B... The tried and true tactic of every nature photographer: Wait-and-See.
A coffee, a strudel, and a few hours later, we were out of time. The last train back to Zermatt was ready to depart. We made our way through the turnstiles, when all of a sudden, the clouds moved and the Matterhorn began to appear! I fired off a few frames, climbed aboard the train, and grabbed a window seat as the entirety of the iconic Matterhorn peak was revealed during our descent... Just in the nick of time.
